Press Release:WSVEF Announces Next Funding Cycle to Begin

The White Salmon Valley Education Foundation's (WSVEF) second funding cycle of at least another $25,000 is about to begin. The group provides supplemental funds to be used for education enhancement in the White Salmon Valley Schools.
All educators and community members are eligible to apply. The application period runs from January 19 through February 20, 2007 . New applications will be available beginning tomorrow (January 19, 2007) at www.wsvef.org/grants . Successful applicants will be announced on May 21, 2007 . Monies must be used between May 28, 2007 and June 2008.
The WSVEF Review Committee scores all applications. The committee is comprised of two teachers, two community members and one WSVEF Board Member. Programs chosen will meet the WSVEF objectives of enriching school curriculum, supporting staff development, and creating education, business and community partnerships.
The foundation was able to award $25,000 to six programs in its first funding cycle.
