Criteria for grant applications
All requests must have the full support of the School District Administration. The Foundation has established the following criteria for assessing all grant applications.
- Provide immediate assistance with unmet educational needs of our students.
- Include innovative ideas that will enrich the quality of our students' education experience.
- Improve our teachers' knowledge and ability to educate.
- Develop community involvement and interest in our education system.
- Maximize benefits from the requested funds.
- Provide long-term benefit to the community and schools.
- Better prepare our students for future education and/or careers.
Multiple criteria must be satisfied in order for a project to be awarded a Foundation grant.
Several people who served on the Foundation's Grant Review Committee in the most recent funding cycle are available to assist grant applicants submitting a grant for the first time, or re-submitting a grant that did not receive funding. These folks can assist you with any questions you might have about the High Funding Priorities and the grant application instructions. Please contact Sue Davis at sue@wsvef.org to get contact information for these volunteers.
